Oliver Spalter – Kontrabass

is 21 years old and was born and raised in New Zealand. During my time in New Zealand I played with the Auckland Youth Orchestra and National Youth Orchestra regularly as principal, and played as a substitute with the Auckland Philharmonia regularly. I also played as a soloist with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the Auckland Youth Orchestra. 

In 2023 I moved to Chicago to begin my undergraduate degree, and after participating in the Pacific Music Festival for my first time, decided to change and move to Vienna to join the class of professor Dominik Wagner, where I have now been for one and a half years.
